Arlington Tech Students Receive Society Awards at Regional Science Fair

Arlington Tech students recently attended the regional science fair where students received awards from the various societies in attendance. Congratulations to the following four students:

  • Sarai Camey Gomez – 1st place – invitation to attend a 2-day space experience at NASA-Goddard Space Flight Center, a 1-yr student membership to AIAA, and a $25 award from the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics
  • Charlotte Slapar – 2nd place Promising Engineer Certificate & $20 AMC Gift Card from Society of Women Engineers (Balt/Wash section)
  • Charlotte Waggy – 2nd place letter of congratulations & a $25 One More Page Books gift card from the American Association of University Women
  • Paul Heredia – 3rd place Excellence in Engineering certificate & $50 award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (Wash DC section)

Congratulations to these students for a job well-done, and thank you to Ms. Mary Knight for providing our students with the opportunity to demonstrate curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation!
