Congratulations to senior Andrew Kennedy who was selected to participate in NASA’s STEM Academic Research Experience! Andrew’s research experience will be in the High Energy Physics Laboratory at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. Thank you to Andrew’s Physics teacher, Dr. Miller. who supported his application.
The NASA STEM Gateway website explains, “STEM ARE is a collaboration between Goddard Space Flight Center and participating high schools to provide STEM-interested students the opportunity to learn and apply research protocols and processes related to Earth- and Space-systems science, Computer science, Engineering, and Technology to fulfill school curriculum requirements during the academic year. Students participating in the GSFC STEM Academic Research Experience Program as a part of their school curriculum are engaged with a mentor in an experiential learning environment that provides students with authentic NASA STEM research experiences.”
