Forensic Science Students hear from ACPD Criminal Investigator

Anne Cupero hosted guest speaker Master Police Officer Tara Crider for her Forensic Science students at ACC.

MPO Crider serves in the Arlington County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Section within the Crime Scene Unit.  As students were studying Medicolegal Death Investigation, MPO Crider shared valuable insights from her first experience responding to a death scene as a police officer and explained how she handled the situation with professionalism and care.

She also provided an overview of her role and daily responsibilities as an MPO, highlighting the various phases of a criminal investigation: the Initial phase, the Collection phase, and the Final phase.

In this photo, Carlos Quiroz-Ferrer is featured. He previously participated in the Arlington PoliceDepartment’s Forensic Science Summer Camp, where MPO Crider also served as one of his instructors. It was an honor to welcome MPO Crider and provide students with such an informative and meaningful learning experience!
