Application Process
The application and admissions process to Arlington Tech Governor’s STEM Academy is overseen and managed by the APS central office.
The following links will bring you to an informational website about APS school options and transfers as well as an informational session about Arlington Tech.
How to Apply
Students are invited to apply to Arlington Tech for the start of 9th, 10th, or 11th grade.To apply for 9th grade, applicants must
- Be an APS student
- Have passed the 7th grade Math SOL
- Submit a short response to the question “Why Arlington Tech?”
Applications are currently closed until November 2024.
Information session
The Arlington Tech program is located at the Arlington Career Center where students are able to select courses that merge traditional academic classes with innovative Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes, integrating theoretical and practical exploration of STEM content.
All classes promote project-based learning, and students who excel are ready for the collaborative work to manage complex, open-ended projects that answer authentic questions and demand deep understanding of academic concepts.
