We live and breathe Dual Enrollment (DE) here at the Arlington Career Center, so we’re thrilled to host our first-ever Northern Virginia DE Conference (“NovaDEC”)! We look forward to connecting with DE faculty, administrators, and supporters across the region. This conference will be our opportunity to build community, share experiences, solve challenges, and refine best practices together.

Call for Presentations

Thanks for your interest in helping make our conference happen!

You can submit your proposal here.

We hope that every session will include some sort of introduction from the presenter and will be interactive, but we know that there will be a wide range of interactivity. For transparency, we’re asking you to categorize your session based on how interactive you expect it to be:

Roundtables will be about 20% presentation and 80% discussion
Informational Talks will be about 80% presentation and 20% discussion
Conversations will be about 50/50.

We’ll provide some example proposals below:

Conference Themes

We’ll adapt based on the interests of attendees and proposed topics. Here are a few topics we’re hoping to focus on:

Student Assessment
Access to Underrepresented College Students
Unique Challenges to Bridging High School and College
DE and the World of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

We also welcome subject-specific content and other creative session ideas. If you have a unique perspective or innovative topic, we’d love to hear about it!
