Upcoming Activity Details:

Rehearsal –  Monday, June 2, 10:30 AM – Mandatory graduation rehearsal will be held at ACC. At this time, seniors will  hand in their APS issued computers (and power cord), receive instructions for the ceremony, diploma covers,  graduation cords, guest tickets to the ceremony, prom tickets, and other graduation items.

Senior Cookout – Monday, June 2, 11:30 am– Following rehearsal and item pick-up.

Graduation – Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, 5:00 PM – Wakefield High School’s Outdoor StadiumGraduates should arrive at Wakefield’s Gymnasium at 4:00pm to line up. The stadium will open to the public at 4:00pm. The ceremony will last approximately 2 hours. For those who cannot attend graduation in person, this is the live stream link.

• Graduation Ticket Requests – Each student will receive six (6) graduation tickets. If you need additional tickets you can request through this link through May 9th. Extra Ticket Request. Additional tickets will be distributed equitably across requests, until all tickets have been evenly distributed. Communication regarding extra ticket requests will be sent out the week of May 12th.
• Dress for Graduates – Graduation is a special occasion and appropriate dress is expected. Shoes with low heels are safer for ascending the steps leading up to the stage and descending the staircase coming off stage.
• Formal Graduation Photos by Lifetouch – To access your photos after the ceremony, text 68593GRTAD25 to 90738 to access your photos when they are released. You will receive an email and/or text message when the photos are posted on Lifetouch’s website.
• Graduation Cap and Gown – Cap and gown distribution will occur at rehearsal on June 2nd.

PROM INFORMATION!

We are excited to announce details for PROM 2025:

• Theme: Greek Garden
• Date: May 29th 2025
• Location: Torpedo Factory (105 N Union St. Alexandria VA)
• Time: 7pm-10pm
• Ticket Cost: $70.00
• Guest Ticket cost $70.00. Students are allowed to purchase 1 additional Guest Ticket Guests must be between the ages of 15-21 years. Students must complete a guest form and turn it in to Mrs. P by May 25th.
• Students must purchase tickets by May 8th 2025. This is a firm deadline. No exceptions will be made
• Students can purchase tickets via the following:
  1.  Online portal
  2.  Check made out to: Arlington Career Center (Memo line: Student name)
  3.  Cash

 Senior Trip to Busch Gardens

Seniors have a trip planned to Busch Gardens on May 27th:

• Date: May 27th 2025
• Time: 8am-7pm
• Ticket Cost: $100.00
• Field Trip forms can be picked up in English Rooms or outside of Dr. Van Lare’s office and should be returned to Mrs. Pnevmatikatos.
• Students must purchase tickets by May 8th, 2025. This is a firm deadline. No exceptions will be made
• Students can purchase tickets via the following:

ACC Graduation Information

Date: June 3rd, 2025

Location:  Wakefield football field (Rain location: gym)

Time:  5pm

Tickets:. We opted for the outdoor location this year so we do not need to limit tickets for capacity.  Students will receive 6 tickets and can request more.  We will send out a request form shortly.

Caps and Gowns: Deadlines for purchasing caps and gowns was March 28th.

Dress Guidance:  Students should dress in business or professional attire.

Sponsor a Senior! Families interested in financially supporting a senior can donate funds through the following portal: Sponsor a Senior*

Donation Suggestions (based on estimates):

• • • $25 pays for a cap and gown
    • $60 pays for a prom ticket
    • $100 pays for a senior trip to Busch Gardens

NOVA Graduation

NOVA Commencement for Degree Earners

DATE: May 12, 2025

LOCATION: EagleBank Arena (George Mason University)

Ceremony: 11:00 a.m. Graduate Arrival: 9:30 a.m. Doors Open to the Public: 10:00 a.m.

Students earning an associate’s degrees can participate in NOVA’s graduation ceremony.  This is a well-attended event with a large number of participants.  We will send out information as NOVA sends updates.  All information is posted on NOVA’s Commencement and Graduation Process pages.
