May 27 – June 2 – Senior Final Exams
June 2 – Last day of class for seniors
June 4– Senior Prom
June 9 – Graduation

ACC Graduation Information

Date: June 9, 2026

Location: Wakefield football field (Rain location: gym)

Time: 5pm

Tickets:. We opted for the outdoor location so we do not need to limit tickets for capacity. Students will receive 6 tickets and can request more. We will send out a request form at the end of the year for families to request more tickets.

Caps and Gowns: Deadlines for purchasing caps and gowns is in March.

Dress Guidance: Students should dress in business or professional attire.

Sponsor a Senior! Families interested in financially supporting a senior will have an opportunity to do so in the spring.

NOVA Commencement for Degree Earners

DATE: May 18, 2026

LOCATION: EagleBank Arena (George Mason University)

We will add more information as it is posted. Families can also check the NOVA website.

Students earning an associate’s degrees can participate in NOVA’s graduation ceremony. This is a well-attended event with a large number of participants. It is important to register early to secure a spot in the ceremony. We will send out information as NOVA sends updates. All information is posted on NOVA’s Commencement and Graduation Process pages.

Comprehensive High School Information

Yorktown High School

Cap and Gowns – Students must fill out this order form in order to receive their cap and gown for graduation. This form must be completed prior to Winter Break in order to ensure your order will be processed. You do not have to pay anything when you place this order – the cost of graduates’ cap and gown are included in their Senior Dues.

Class DuesSenior Class dues cover the costs of graduation related expenses – cap and gown, graduation venue, event security, diplomas, diploma covers, and the printing of programs and tickets. Senior Dues are $85 and if paid prior to Winter Break, are discounted to $80. All students are expected to contribute to class dues. If a student is experiencing undue financial hardship, they should speak to the YHS activities office regarding payment. Dues should be paid electronically at Pay Dues Online. A small transaction fee applies. If you are unsure if you have paid your dues or if you are on the Witholding List for outstanding debts, please contact the Yorktown Finance Officer, Ms. Ashby, by email or at 703-228-5407.
