Sophomore Gabe Haynes Places in the Stock Market Game

We’re proud to share that Arlington Tech student, Gabe Haynes, earned 2nd place out of 188 teams in the Virginia Stock Market Game, a statewide competition that challenges students to apply real-world investing strategies.

With the expert guidance of instructors Robert Summers and Angie Kelly, Gabe mastered key economic principles like long-term investing and diversification. His well-rounded portfolio saw major gains from investments in the health care sector and streaming services, helping him rise to the top of the competition.

As a result of his outstanding performance, Gabe has been invited to a special awards luncheon at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond—a well-deserved honor!

👏 Way to go, Gabe! Your hard work, curiosity, and strategic thinking are an inspiration to us all.
